Drama classes are “focused fun” with a goal towards personal growth. Through participation in drama and theatre, kids have the opportunity to practice social and executive functioning skills in a low-pressure and supportive environment:
- Verbal and physical expression
- Listening and focus
- Self-control and cooperation
- Flexible thinking
Through a variety of improvisation games, vocal exercises, scene study and monologues, drama students will practice performance skills, and understand theatre terms such as plot, character, goal and obstacle. The final class will include an informal performance for family for family and friends.
